Meet the Jackson Hole Llamas working team and retirees. Each of our llamas has a unique personality and set of skills. We request that you allow us to pair you with a llama.
Tsunami (13 yrs.) was a “wave” in her momma’s belly. Steadfast and dependable, she’s a true lady and daintier than the rest.
Kess (14 yrs.) is resilient, strong and tough, although she is a little apprehensive to take the lead on the trail.
Caramella (15 yrs.) is tall, strong, sweet and often carries the larger loads. A guest graciously gifted her to us and we are forever grateful.
Eve (14 yrs.) is a steady, calm girl with a sweet soft look, and always manages to steal hearts. She has an air of “all knowing” – maybe an old soul.
Lucy (11 yrs.) is always a favorite among the guests and is happy to give a kiss for a cookie. She’s a bit slow from giving out too many kisses!
Edelweiss (13 yrs.) is a bit shy, but she is strong and dependable. Our biggest challenge is to get her to take cookies from our hand. Some guests have gotten close and a few succeeded…will you?
Isabella (13 yrs.) came to us the same time as Edelweiss. She too, is sturdy, reliable and a sweetheart. She is a bit fond of treats as well.
Rody (18 yrs.) is our oldest boy and after a lot of great years of service, we are retiring him from the pack string. He’s a big, tall guy and is pretty darn loveable. Because he loves getting out and snacking on the trail, he’ll be part of the day hike crew.
Peggy Sue (5 yrs.) is our youngest and passed her training last year with flying colors. She quickly stole our hearts with her sweet demeanor. She will steal your heart too…though beware, she loves the “llama cookie kiss”.
Beatrice the beauty has found a new home and we have added Bambi to our team roster.
Bo (retired) came to us many years ago from Santa Fe. Though a bit small and woolly for a packer, he did his job well. He is all heart and has earned the refuge of retirement.
Nadine (retired) is the last of the initial bloodline from the original Jackson Hole Llamas herd back in the ’90s. At 20, she is the matriarch of the herd.
